Find dates and count days.

Planning ahead

A calendar shows every day of the month. We use it to plan trips, exams and festivals. Each box shows a date.

Reading a calendar

The columns show the days of the week. Find 14 April. Look up to see the day: Tuesday. April has 30 days.

Counting days

Moving down one row adds 7 days. 14 + 7 = 21. So one week later is 21 April.

Days in each month

Seven months have 31 days. Four months have 30 days. February has 28 days, or 29 in a leap year.
