Good data starts with a good question. How do learners in our school travel? Collecting answers is a survey.
A frequency table uses tallies and totals. Count the tallies in 5s. Check the totals add up to the number asked: 50.
Your sample should represent everyone. Asking only your friends may give unfair results. Bigger samples are usually more reliable.
Some data comes from asking. Some comes from watching or measuring. Choose the right method for your question.
