Which coin is worth the most?
Money in Bangladesh
In Bangladesh we pay with taka. Its sign is ৳. There are coins and paper notes. We use money to buy things at the shop and the bazaar.
Coins and notes
Coins are worth ৳1, ৳2 and ৳5. Notes are worth ৳10, ৳20, ৳50, ৳100 and more. Each coin or note has a value written on it.
Size is not value
A bigger coin is not always worth more. Read the number on it! One ৳5 coin is worth the same as five ৳1 coins.
Paying at the shop
A banana costs ৳8. We can pay with ৳5 + ৳2 + ৳1. Count the biggest coin first, then count on.
