Sounds travel

Sounds get quieter far away.

Near and far

Ring a bell next to you. It is loud. Ring it far away. It is quiet. Sound gets quieter as it moves away from its source.

Calling far away

It is hard to hear someone far away. A megaphone makes a voice louder. Then the sound can go further.

Loud sounds go further

A loud drum can be heard from far away. A whisper can only be heard near by.
